Muslim Student Welcome & Mentorship

Come meet other Muslim students and participate in this helpful transition-focused program. Sessions will include study tips, how to navigate the University, getting familiar with the area, balancing your academic and spiritual life and needs, and more. The program is led by Muslim student leaders known as Muslim Student Life Mentors. Muslim Student Life Pre-Welcome is the best way to become settled on campus and meet other Muslim students.

Qur’an Study Classes

What you’ll experience: Learn how to read, improve your reading skills, learn and practice tajweed rules, hifz program, basics of understanding Qur’anic text

Understanding Islam Series

The series will cover the fundamentals of Islam, the diversity of its followers, understanding of the five daily prayers and the importance of their accommodation for practicing Muslims, Ramadan observance and accommodations and Islamic holidays. The last session will offer a guided visit to a Syracuse mosque.

Surah Al-Kahf

Join us in reading surah Al-Kahf or listening in its recitation in the Main Chapel in Hendricks Chapel every Friday at 12:50pm.

Jummah Prayer

Join Jumuah prayers in the Main Chapel of the Hendricks Chapel every Friday at 1:10pm.

Breaking Bread Together (Friday Lunch)

Everyone is welcome to join us in breaking bread and connect in the Noble room starting at 1:30pm.
